The Wallacetown Agricultural Society is run by a Board of Directors and Officers. This society has been running the Wallacetown Fair for 156 years solely on donations from the public and business sectors in around the area.
The most common misconception is that the grounds and buildings belong to the Municipality. The fairgrounds themselves are solely operated by the board and all upkeep of the property is partially funded through many local events. It is private property even though the community uses it on a daily basis. The Wallacetown Soccer association enjoys the usage of the land through the fairboard’s generosity.
The sole purpose of the Society is to promote agricultural awareness. We do this by holding the annual fall fair.
Unfortunately, upkeep is expensive and we come to you and community businesses for support. The community at large uses the fairgrounds and would be sorely missed.
We need you! We need volunteers and people to sit on the board that will be active members. Yes this is a big comittment, but we think it is worth it every year when we see old and new faces at the fair, rekindling with friends and bringing back a lifetime of memories.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a Corporate Sponsor or would like to make a singular donation to the Agricultural Society, please contact one of our members.
We would love to continue this annual tradition for another 156 years. Please be a part of it.
